Riverdale, NY – Manhattan Athletics chose to do rowing for women Shannon Gleba (Midland Park, NJ / Immaculate Heart) and women’s basketball Courtney Warley (West Chester, PA / Bishop Shanahan) as the school’s nominations for NCAA Woman of the Year 2021. That year, 535 college athletes were nominated for the prestigious award.

Rooted in Title IX, the NCAA Woman of the Year Award was created in 1991 to recognize female graduate students who excelled in science, athletics, service, and leadership during their college careers.

In the classroom, she graduated with a perfect GPA of 4.0 with a degree in public health with a major in health administration, was a three-time MAAC All-Academic selection, and eight-time Dean’s List recipient. Last week she became the CoSida Academic All-District Women At-Large First Team. This fall, Gleba will begin work on her JD at Notre Dame University Law School.

As a three-time All-MAAC selection, she received awards in the third team in the second year, the awards in the first team as a junior and was in the second team as a senior. In addition, she was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Year 2019, led Jaspers to her first post-season appearance since 2012 and will enter her fifth season with 960 points, 833 rebounds and 133 blocks.

Driven by an impressive GPA of 3.84, the Keystone State native graduated with a degree in finance and management last May and was one of 30 Division I basketball students nominated for the prestigious Senior Class Award.
