New orthopedic “superstore” opens doors in Riverhead

RIVERHEAD, NY – A new orthopedic healthcare partnership, PrecisionCare, celebrated its dedication ceremony Wednesday in Riverhead.

The group, based at 715 Roanoke Ave. includes two orthopedic practices in Suffolk County, Advanced Orthopedics and Orthopedic Associates of Long Island.

Riverhead Town Supervisor Yvette Aguiar and Council Member Bob Kern attended the event; Aguiar presented PrecisionCare with a certificate.

“Medical facilities like this are invaluable to residents, especially our elderly resident population,” she said. “This location provides easy access to the general well-being and health of our residents, making our area attractive to those in need of medical care.”

With more than 50 physicians and physician assistants representing orthopedic specialties including hand/wrist, foot/ankle, shoulder, spine, hip and knee, PrecisionCare offices offer orthopedic services focused on comprehensive orthopedic care, surgical and non-surgical options as well as pain management, sports medicine, athletic training, podiatry, physical therapy, occupational therapy, concussion management and imaging services, according to a press release.

Tracey Smith, Executive Director of Advanced Orthopedics, called PrecisionCare an “orthopedic superstore based on the scope of services, the specialized skills of our orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians and physician assistants, coupled with physical therapy and occupational therapy resources where injury and injury prevention is a focus.” ”

PrecisionCare practices also have offices in Commack, West Babylon, East Setauket, Stony Brook, Patchogue, Wading River, Riverhead and Southampton.

PrecisionCare works with many of Suffolk County’s school districts.
