FAYETTEVILLE, ark.– The Razorbacks are making a lot of noise at their home tournament this week. Two doubles teams made it to the quarterfinals, and senior Alex Reco is in the second round of the singles main draw.

On Tuesday afternoon, the Arkansas doubles Aleksa Bucan and Avery Zavala defeated their teammates Adrien Burdet and Melvin Manuel in a three-set game with 6-4, 3-6, 10-3 and secured a place in the quarterfinals.

On Wednesday, Alex Reco’s and Nico Rousset’s All-Razorback team defeated Canadians Juan Carlos Aguilar and Sander Jong from the Netherlands 6-1, 4-6, 11-9. The French could face team-mates Bucan and Zavala in the semi-finals if both teams make it to the quarter-finals.

Reco also secured one of the tournament’s previous wins by dismantling American Victor Lilov, who is a former finalist of the Wimbledon Juniors tournament, 6-1, 6-0. Reco has just returned from a trip to the final of the 25K tournament in Plaisir, France. Next he will meet Paul Jubb from Great Britain, who was ranked second and who was in the Wimbledon main draw in 2019.
