Women’s football (5-2, 0-2)
RIT lost 4-1 at No. 5 William Smith on Wednesday. First-year Roberta Moeger scored her first college goal in the 58th minute. The Tigers lost 1-0 to Vassar on Saturday.
The team aims to get back on track this week with an away game against Nazareth on Tuesday (27 September) followed by a Liberty League home game against Clarkson on Saturday (1 October).

Men’s Soccer (2-2-3, 1-1)
The Tigers took a 1-1 lead as they opened play in the Liberty League this week.
RIT shutout Hobart 2-0, Tuesday, behind the gates of the veteran midfielder Jonathan Cohen and sophomore year forward Jaden Winall Longdon. senior forward Joshua price and senior midfielder Randy Dickersbach Each had an assist. The Tigers lost 4-0 in Vassar on Saturday.
The team returns to Tiger Stadium on Tuesday (September 27) to take on Houghton before traveling to Potsdam on Saturday (October 1) to take on Liberty League opponents Clarkson.

Women’s Volleyball (4-11)
RIT opened their week with a 3-2 win from behind at home to crosstown rivals Rochester on Wednesday. After falling two sets behind and facing two match points, the Tigers charged back and won three straight sets to take the win. Sophomore Outside Hitter Liv Benard 16 total kills and 12 digs as a junior setter Sydney Neff compiled 37 assists, four serve aces and 12 digs.
Benard tied her career high with 17 kills and added 14 digs for her fourth double-double of the season in Saturday’s Tigers loss to ROwan. She broke her career high with 21 kills, seven digs and three service aces in Saturday’s loss to Messiah. The Scranton Invitational went 0-4, losing to Franklin and Marshall, Scranton, Rowan and Messiah.
The team begins playing the Liberty League in Ithaca on Wednesday (September 28) before returning to Clark High School for games against Bard (September 30), Morrisville (October 1) and DeSales (October 1).

men’s tennis
RIT competed in the St. Lawrence Fall Classic in early September. First year Brian Bork reached the consolation final in “B” Flight Singles as a sophomore Christian Berco and Grafith Movva reached the “A” quarterfinals. Jayanetti and classmate Max Chang reached the consolation semifinals in doubles tournament “B”.
The team completes the fall portion of its schedule on Friday and Saturday in Madison, NJ at the ITA Northeast Regional.

Women’s Hockey (0-2-0)
The Tigers went 2-0 at UConn last weekend. Second goalkeeper Sarah Coe made 32 saves in Friday’s 3-0 loss. PhD student forward Amy Dobson and sophomore year forward Athena Wasdani Both scored in Saturday’s 3-2 loss to the Huskies.
RIT plays a weekend series at No. 2 on Friday (30 Sept) and Saturday (1 Oct). 14 catamounts.

Women’s Cross Country
RIT finished eighth out of 14 teams in last Saturday’s Harry F. Anderson Invitational at the Roberts Wesleyan. First year Abby Nautel went ahead and finished 44th out of 168 runners over the five-kilometer course.
The Tigers will compete in the Mike Woods Invitational on Saturday (October 1).

Men’s Ice Hockey
RIT begins its 2022-23 campaign at Union on Saturday (October 1). The Tigers finished last season 18-16-4, losing to Air Force in the Atlantic Hockey Semifinals.
Saturday’s game is the first between Union and RIT since 2017.

RIT begins the fall portion of its program at the Mercyhurst Invitational on Sunday (Oct. 2). The event is the first of three in the fall season before the program goes into hibernation until April.
