U.S. Bank Triple Cash Rewards Business Card Vs. Amex Blue Business Cash – Forbes Advisor
Still Good Welcome Bonus and Introductory APR
The American Express Blue Business Cash™ Card (Terms apply. See rates & fees) comes with a welcome offer that is attractive for a no annual fee card: $250 statement credit after making $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months of account opening. This offer is less than the U.S. Bank option and you get two fewer months to qualify, which could be a deal-breaker between the two.
The card offers a 0% intro APR on purchases for 12 months from the date of account opening, then a 13.24% – 21.24% variable APR applies on purchases and balance transfers. Balance transfers must be completed within 60 days of account opening and a fee of $5 or 3%, whichever is greater applies.
Cash Back Rate
This card comes with a much more straightforward earning rate. Earn 2% cash back on all eligible purchases on up to $50,000 per calendar year, then 1%. This makes a great catchall card, great for those who don’t want to think about whether or not specific categories have a higher earning rate.
Expanded Buying Power
While you are assigned a credit limit on this card, you can enjoy flexible buying power. This allows you to spend beyond your credit limit when your business needs it. The amount isn’t unlimited but is determined by your use of the card, payment history, credit record, and other factors.
When using this feature, your minimum payment on your following credit card statement would be whatever your payment would be if your card was maxed out plus whatever balance is in excess of your assigned credit limit.
