TRUMBULL, Conn., Jan. 27, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ZetrOZ Systems will present new clinical research on its Sustained Acoustic Medicine (sam® ) imagine , in Bozeman, Montana.

In a session titled “New Approaches in Mechanobiology: Sustained Acoustic Medicine,” Dr. George Lewis, Founder and CEO of ZetrOZ Systems, will discuss the emerging field of low-intensity, long-duration ultrasound therapy, recent clinical findings, and a new systematic review and meta-analysis on medical technology.

ZetrOZ’s sam® is the only FDA-approved long-term ultrasound device, and more than 30 peer-reviewed studies have proven it to be an effective treatment for pain relief, healing of soft-tissue injuries, restoration of function, and restoration of patients’ ability to work, Sports and other daily activities. sam® is designed for easy, long-term home use. Low-intensity ultrasound therapy promotes deep wound healing by inhibiting inflammation and increasing the rate of tissue regeneration, angiogenesis, and nutrient exchange.

“Prolonged acoustic medicine has been shown to enhance the body’s natural healing process by increasing collagen deposits, blood flow and accelerating tissue healing, which equates to significant pain relief,” Lewis said. “Our diligent clinical and medical education team has spearheaded efforts to bring sustainable acoustic medical devices to market so millions of patients suffering from overuse pain can achieve faster healing and sustained long-term relief.”

Among the research Lewis will be discussing is a recent study published in jumper nature BMC Sports Science, Medicine and Rehabilitation in December 2021.

In that article, the researchers reported that “treatment with sustained acoustic medicine produces tissue heating and tissue recovery, improved patient function, and pain relief. When patients did not respond to physical therapy, sustained acoustic medicine proved to be a useful adjunct to facilitate healing and return. As a non-invasive and non-narcotic treatment option with an excellent safety profile, sustained acoustic medicine can be considered a good therapeutic option for physicians.”

ZetrOZ technology has been adopted by many professional and collegiate athletic programs, with athletic trainers calling it “the only home healing technology that we send home with our patients.” A research study by the University of Miami Sports Medicine and Brigham Young University concluded that participants – who were athletic trainers for professional athletes – had positive experiences using the sam® multi-hour portable ultrasound machine, with 87% of participants experiencing satisfaction and confidence in the Expressed in the ability of sam® to accelerate the healing process.
